At the end of the 15th century, Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile entered into marriage and became the most famous couple in Spain’s history.
Known as the Catholic Monarchs, they lived in Toledo when it was the capital of the kingdom. The cultural heritage left in the city is sensational and the impressive Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, built after personal request by the queen, is one of the finest examples.
More than 500 years later, just a few steps away from the monastery, a unique Neo-Mudéjar building bearing the same name was built. That building is Hotel San Juan de los Reyes****, declared a site of Cultural Interest.
